Babydoll Sheep

Olde English “Babydoll” sheep make great companions as they are considered non-agressive and docile. Their fleece can be used for cashmere, and is ideal for blending with other materials. Babydoll sheep naturally weed without harming crops. Whie always seeming to show a smile, Babydoll sheep are a very beneficial addition to your herd.

Oakwood Farm is dedicated to preserving the true Olde English Babydoll Southdown sheep standard through careful, selective breeding. Our program focuses on maintaining authentic Babydoll conformation, including their compact size, signature “teddy bear” faces, and gentle disposition. In addition to traditional coloring, we have worked diligently to develop strong genetics that consistently produce desirable spotted Babydoll sheep. We proudly offer registered Babydoll lambs, ewes, and rams for sale, ideal for breeding programs, small farms, and companion animals.

The Olde English Babydoll Southdown sheep is one of the oldest and most recognizable heritage sheep breeds, originating in England and valued for its hardiness and adaptability. Historically known for producing exceptionally tender, flavorful meat, this breed has also become a favorite for sustainable grazing and hobby farming due to its manageable size and calm temperament. Babydoll sheep are believed to have been introduced to the United States as early as 1803, and they continue to grow in popularity among farmers and homesteaders today.
